The NXP 74HC175DB is a high-speed Si-gate CMOS device and is pin compatible with low-power Schottky TTL (LSTTL). It is specified in compliance with JEDEC standard no. 7A. The 74HC175DB is a quad D-type flip-flop with individual D inputs and complementary Q and Q̅ outputs. The device features a common clock (CP) and a common master reset input (MR).
Key Features
- Logic Family: HC
- Logic Type: D-Type Flip-Flop
- Number of Pins: 16
- Supply Voltage Range: 2.0 to 6.0 V
- Output Current: -5.2 to +5.2 mA
- Propagation Delay Time: 13 ns (typical at 5V)
- Operating Temperature Range: -40°C to +125°C
- Package Type: SSOP
Functionality
The information on the D input is accepted by the flip-flops on the positive-going edge of the clock pulse. The Q outputs will be changed accordingly when the clock goes to the high level. When the MR input is LOW, it overrides the clock and clears all flip-flops, forcing all Q outputs LOW and all Q̅ outputs HIGH.
Applications
The 74HC175DB is widely used in a variety of digital applications. It is ideal for temporary storage of data, acting as a buffer, register, or for performing delay and toggle functions. Its applications include:
- Registers
- Counters
- Control circuits
- Computing systems
