Additional Details:
The ACMD-7605 operates from a 3.3V power supply. It features a built-in transmit and receive filter to reduce the need for external components. It has a loopback test mode which makes it simple to test the functionality of the transceiver. The device is available in a small form factor package which helps in miniaturized designs.
The MAC portion of the ACMD-7605 handles all of the functions of an Ethernet MAC including preamble generation, address detection, frame check sequence generation and checking, and collision detection. The PHY portion handles all of the analog functions of transmitting and receiving Ethernet signals over twisted pair cabling. It includes features such as adaptive equalization and baseline wander correction.
