The SN74SSTV16857DGGR is a high-performance, 14-bit to 28-bit registered buffer designed by Texas Instruments. This product is specifically designed for low-voltage (1.5V to 3.6V) VCC operation, but with the capability to provide a TTL interface to a 5V system environment.
The device is byte controlled, with each byte functioning independently. Each byte has separate control inputs which can be shorted together for full 14-bit or 28-bit operation. The control inputs can be driven from either 3.3V or 5V devices. This feature provides the ability to interface 3.3V and 5V systems, or 5V to 3.3V systems, or even up to 5.5V CMOS levels.
This device is fully specified for partial-power-down applications using Ioff. The Ioff circuitry disables the outputs, preventing damaging current backflow when the device is powered down.
