Product Description
The CD4029BM96 is a binary coded decimal (BCD) up/down counter that is fully programmable; that is, the outputs may be preset to either level by placing a desired data word on the inputs and bringing the LOAD input to a logical low. The counter is advanced one count at the positive clock signal transition if the CARRY-IN input is at a high level. If the CARRY-IN input is at a low level, no carry will occur from the preceding stage and the counter will count down. The counter is provided with a 4-bit binary to decimal decoder for driving a display or other load directly.
