The MAX5387MAUD+ by Maxim Integrated is a dual, 256-position, digital potentiometer designed to function as a compact variable resistor or voltage divider. This integrated circuit (IC) is ideal for applications requiring precise digital control over analog signals within a wide range of industries, including consumer electronics, communication systems, and portable battery-powered devices.

With its small 14-pin TSSOP package, the MAX5387MAUD+ offers a space-saving solution for designs where board space is at a premium. The device operates from a single +2.7V to +5.5V supply, making it versatile for various power environments. Its volatile memory ensures that the wiper position defaults to the midscale position upon power-up, providing a predictable start-up state.

The digital potentiometer features two independent channels, each with 256 tap points, allowing for fine resolution adjustments.
