Description

The MAX1182ECM+TD from Maxim Integrated is a high-performance, low-power, dual 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designed to operate with a single +3V power supply. This advanced ADC is capable of sample rates up to 60Msps, making it an ideal choice for high-speed signal processing applications such as digital imaging, communications, and data acquisition systems.

One of the key features of the MAX1182ECM+TD is its internal voltage reference, which simplifies the design process by eliminating the need for external reference components. This feature, combined with its low 175mW power consumption at the maximum sampling rate, makes it an energy-efficient solution for portable and battery-powered devices.

The device is equipped with parallel outputs, allowing for easy interfacing with DSPs and microprocessors. The MAX1182ECM+TD also includes an on-chip track-and-hold circuit, providing excellent dynamic performance with a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 57.6dB and a spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 70dB at fIN = 10MHz.

This ADC operates over the extended industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C), ensuring reliable performance in harsh environments. The MAX1182ECM+TD is available in a compact 48-pin TQFP package, which is ideal for space-constrained applications.

Additional features of the MAX1182ECM+TD include a fully differential analog input structure, programmable input ranges, and an out-of-range indicator that flags an over-range condition. The device also supports a flexible digital interface with two user-selectable input ranges (±1V or ±0.5V) to accommodate a variety of signal levels.
