Maxim Integrated DS1307N+ Real-Time Clock

The Maxim Integrated DS1307N+ is a highly versatile, low-power serial real-time clock (RTC) with full binary-coded decimal (BCD) clock/calendar functionality integrated into a compact 8-pin DIP package. Designed to address the needs of a wide range of applications, this RTC offers precision timekeeping with minimal power requirements, making it ideal for embedded systems, consumer electronics, and portable devices where maintaining accurate time is crucial.

This RTC provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information, with automatic adjustments for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The clock operates in either the 24-hour or 12-hour format with an AM/PM indicator. With a built-in power-sense circuit, the DS1307N+ supports a backup battery input to maintain accurate timekeeping when the main power to the device is interrupted.
