Description

The 74HC125T14-13 from Diodes Incorporated is a high-speed Si-gate CMOS device and is pin compatible with Low-power Schottky TTL (LSTTL). It is specified in compliance with JEDEC standard no. 7A. The 74HC125T14-13 is a quad buffer/line driver with 3-state outputs that is designed to be used in applications requiring a high degree of drive and speed. This device features four independent buffers with 3-state outputs, each of which can be individually controlled. This makes it an excellent choice for bus-oriented applications.

The 3-state outputs are controlled by the output enable inputs (nOE). A HIGH on nOE causes the outputs to assume a high-impedance OFF-state. Conversely, a LOW on nOE enables the output, allowing data from the input (nA) to pass through to the output (nY). This functionality allows for the disconnection of the outputs from the bus lines, which is particularly useful in multiplexed data transmission systems and when creating shared data buses.

The inputs of the 74HC125T14-13 can handle 5V logic, which makes it suitable for interfacing with traditional 5V TTL logic as well as newer 3.3V logic levels, providing a wide range of compatibility with various logic families.
