The device features two sets of eight latches with separate latch enable (LE) and output enable (OE) controls for each set. When LE is HIGH, data on the Dn inputs enter the latches. In this mode, the latches are transparent, i.e., a latch output will change each time its corresponding D-input changes. When LE is taken LOW, the latches store the information that was present on the D-inputs a setup time preceding the HIGH-to-LOW transition of LE. The OE control gates the outputs on or off and is independent of the latch operation. When OE is HIGH, the outputs are in a high-impedance state.
The 74AC16373DL offers a wide operating voltage range and features a low-power consumption design, making it a versatile choice for interfacing with microprocessors or microcontrollers in a variety of applications. Its fast propagation delay times and edge-triggered latching mechanism ensure reliable operation at high speeds.
With its robust design and the quality assurance of Texas Instruments, the 74AC16373DL is a reliable component for designers who require high-speed, low-power latching capabilities in their digital systems. Its LSSOP packaging also makes it suitable for space-constrained applications.
