The RT8878A is a synchronous Buck controller with advanced constant on-time (ACOT™) mode control. It is designed for high-performance CPU and DDR power solutions. The RT8878A integrates a high-performance gate driver to drive high-side and low-side MOSFETs. The adaptive dead-time control further improves the efficiency. The IC uses a constant on-time architecture to provide the fastest transient response and requires the fewest external components. It also features over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and thermal shutdown protection.
