Product Overview: ATMEGA48-20MMU
The ATMEGA48-20MMU is a high-performance, low-power Microchip picoPower™ 8-bit AVR® RISC-based microcontroller that combines 4KB ISP flash memory, 512B EEPROM, 512-Byte SRAM, 23 general purpose I/O lines, 32 general purpose working registers, three flexible Timer/Counters with compare modes, internal and external interrupts, serial programmable USART, a byte-oriented 2-wire serial interface, SPI serial port, a 6-channel 10-bit A/D converter (8 channels in TQFP and QFN/MLF packages), programmable watchdog timer with internal oscillator, and five software selectable power saving modes. This feature-rich device provides a highly flexible and cost-effective solution for many embedded control applications.
The ATmega48 operates at a voltage range of 1.8-5.5 volts. At 20MHz, it achieves throughputs approaching 1 MIPS per MHz, balancing power consumption and processing speed. The device comes in a 28-pin 4mm x 4mm QFN/MLF package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications while still offering ample I/O options and features.
