Maxim Integrated MAX8586ETA+T Step-Down Converter

The MAX8586ETA+T from Maxim Integrated is a high-efficiency, compact, synchronous step-down DC-DC converter designed for a wide range of applications. This power management integrated circuit (PMIC) is ideal for converting a higher voltage input to a lower voltage output with excellent power efficiency, making it suitable for battery-powered devices, portable electronics, and other space-constrained applications.

With an input voltage range of 2.9V to 5.5V, the MAX8586ETA+T is versatile enough to be used in systems powered by single-cell lithium-ion (Li+) batteries, 3-cell NiMH, or regulated 5V supplies. Its output voltage is adjustable from 0.8V up to 80% of the input voltage, allowing for a wide range of output voltages to suit various digital and analog loads.

The device employs a current-mode control architecture to provide fast transient response and excellent loop stability.
