Product Description
The 74HCT7273D,118 is a high-speed Si-gate CMOS device and is pin compatible with Low-power Schottky TTL (LSTTL). It is specified in compliance with JEDEC standard no. 7A. The 74HCT7273D,118 features eight edge-triggered, D-type flip-flops with individual D inputs and O outputs. The common clock (CP) and master reset (MR) inputs load and reset all flip-flops simultaneously.
The set and reset are asynchronous active LOW inputs and operate independently of the clock input. Information on the D input is transferred to the corresponding flip-flop's O output on the LOW-to-HIGH transition of CP. A HIGH on MR clears all flip-flops, forcing all O outputs LOW, independent of the state of CP. When MR is LOW, data can be entered into the device regardless of the state of CP.
All outputs have the same source and sink capability. When the output enable (OE) input is LOW, the outputs are in the normal logic state; when OE is HIGH, the outputs are in the high-impedance OFF-state. This state is used for data bus interfacing and multiplexing. The device's balanced propagation delays and transition times across all input and output pins provide significant advantages in designing high-speed, reliable digital systems.
