Maxim Integrated MAX6343ZUT+T Microprocessor Reset Circuit

The MAX6343ZUT+T is a compact, high-quality microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuit designed by Maxim Integrated to monitor power supplies in digital systems. It provides excellent circuit reliability and low cost by eliminating external components and adjustments when used in systems with a single +3V to +3.6V power-supply voltage.

This device is specifically engineered to maintain system integrity by monitoring the power supply voltage. It asserts a reset signal whenever the VCC supply voltage declines below the factory-set reset threshold level. The reset signal remains asserted for a preset timeout period after VCC has risen above the reset threshold, ensuring the system has stabilized before the processor is allowed to run.

The MAX6343ZUT+T features an active-low, push-pull reset output, which provides a robust reset signal that remains valid even when VCC is down to 1V. This feature is particularly useful in low-power applications where the supply voltage may sag momentarily, such as during battery changes or when significant load currents are applied.
