Maxim Integrated's MAX394EPP+: High-Precision, Quad SPST Analog Switch

The MAX394EPP+ is a state-of-the-art quad single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switch from Maxim Integrated that offers exceptional performance and reliability for a wide range of applications. This precision switch is part of Maxim's commitment to providing high-quality integrated circuits that meet the stringent requirements of modern electronic systems.

Constructed with Maxim's proprietary silicon-gate process, the MAX394EPP+ features four normally open (NO) switches that deliver low on-resistance of just 100 ohms max. This low on-resistance is matched between channels to within 5 ohms max and remains flat over the specified signal range, ensuring minimal signal distortion and consistent performance.

The device operates from a single +5V to +30V supply, or from dual supplies of ±4.5V to ±20V, making it versatile for various system configurations. Additionally, the MAX394EPP+ can handle peak currents of 100mA continuous per switch, allowing it to manage a wide range of signal levels.

With its TTL/CMOS-logic compatible inputs, the MAX394EPP+ can easily interface with a broad array of logic families, simplifying design integration. This compatibility is further enhanced by its low power consumption, drawing a mere 80µA max of quiescent supply current, which is ideal for power-sensitive applications.

The MAX394EPP+ also boasts an impressive charge injection of just 10pC max, which minimizes the impact on the signal being switched, and crosstalk between channels is kept to a low 50pF max, ensuring signal integrity is maintained throughout operation. Its fast switching speeds of tON 175ns max and tOFF 145ns max allow for rapid signal routing, making it suitable for high-speed data acquisition systems and sample-and-hold circuits.

Encased in a durable 20-pin plastic DIP package, the MAX394EPP+ is designed for robustness and long-term reliability. Its operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C guarantees stable performance across diverse environmental conditions.
