The MC74HC273ANG is a high-performance, octal D-type flip-flop with a clear function, designed and manufactured by ON Semiconductor. This integrated circuit is part of the high-speed CMOS family and is fabricated with silicon gate CMOS technology to achieve operating speeds similar to LSTTL, with the low power consumption of standard CMOS integrated circuits.

This device consists of eight edge-triggered flip-flops with individual D-type inputs and Q outputs. The common buffered Clock (CP) and Master Reset (MR) inputs load and reset all flip-flops simultaneously. The MC74HC273ANG is designed to be used in applications requiring the capture and retention of multiple bits of data, such as registers, counters, and memory devices in digital systems.

The flip-flops will store the state of their individual D-inputs that meet the set-up and hold time requirements on the LOW-to-HIGH Clock (CP) transition. Furthermore, because the MR input is buffered, it can be driven with long lines or slow-rising signals without affecting the flip-flop operation.
