It provides excellent circuit reliability and low cost by eliminating external components and adjustments when used in battery-powered applications.

This supervisory circuit ensures that the µP is reset to a known state upon power-up by providing a precision voltage monitor for power-fail or low-battery warning, a watchdog timer for system malfunction detection, and a µP reset pulse generator. The MAX691ACPE+ enhances system reliability by performing several critical monitoring functions.
