The SIOV-B32K130 varistor is constructed from a zinc oxide (ZnO) ceramic material. When a transient overvoltage occurs, the varistor's resistance rapidly decreases, diverting the surge current away from the protected components. Once the overvoltage subsides, the varistor returns to its high-resistance state.
