The HMC5983-TR is a magnetoresistive compass/magnetometer sensor manufactured by Honeywell Microelectronics & Precision Sensors. It is a high popularity device with sufficient supply and demand status. The HMC5983-TR is designed for use in sensing and instrumentation, automotive, and industrial applications. The sensor is mounted using surface mount technology and comes in a 16-LPCC package. It has a sensing range of ±0.8mT and operates in a temperature range of -30°C to 85°C. The HMC5983-TR has been discontinued and is no longer in production.
