Description

ADXL203EB Accelerometer

The ADXL203EB is a high-precision, low-power, dual-axis accelerometer with signal conditioned voltage outputs, designed and manufactured by Analog Devices Inc. It is capable of measuring both dynamic acceleration (e.g., vibration) and static acceleration (e.g., gravity). The ADXL203EB features a full-scale range of ±1.7 g and provides high performance with a typical nonlinearity of 0.3% of full scale.

With its robust design, the ADXL203EB includes a patented polysilicon surface-micromachined sensor and signal conditioning circuitry to implement a complete acceleration measurement solution. Its temperature stability is ensured by an integrated temperature sensor and a differential capacitor that nulls out temperature-induced changes in the static output.

The ADXL203EB's outputs are analog voltage, which vary with acceleration. The sensitive axes of the accelerometer are aligned to the package's geometrical axes, providing ease of integration into applications. The device can operate on a single 5 V supply and consumes a low 700 µA, making it suitable for battery-powered devices. It also features a self-test capability that verifies the functioning of the accelerometer on command.
